CAREERS AT MOTION HEALTH

Explore our administrative and clinical career pathways

We understand that you want to get the most out of your clinical training. We also appreciate that the physiotherapy industry generally lacks the ability to provide talented and motivated individuals structured pathways for career progression.

Recognising this, we’ve designed a structured career pathway allowing you to get the most out of your physiotherapy education and experience!

No matter where you are in your career, whether you’re just starting out, fresh from university, or have had experience in another area of physiotherapy or private practice, take a look at our career pathways model. Excitingly we invite talented and committed clinical and non-clinical staff the opportunity to explore practice ownership under our model.

What are the three best things about being part of Motion Health?

I have been with Motion Health for more than a year and to narrow down to the three of the best things is actually challenging.

  • I would have to say that our team is fantastic! We have a great team culture full of fun and laughs, but also a lot of support and willingness to help.
  • The facilities make work fun and exciting, being able to support and facilitate clients to maximise their exercise potential. Alongside being able to encourage exercise as part of their life.
  • Lastly, the opportunities for furthering my career with continual CPD and support with reaching my professional goals.
How has Back In Motion assisted your personal and professional development?

Motion Health has been very supportive in my pursuit of becoming a better physio. They've also been very supportive in my work life balance, particularly during a very tough year with COVID and the loss of a family member.

What does Back In Motion offer that other employers don't?

Motion Health offers being part of something extraordinary and also enabling individual expression. This contrasts to my previous experience with other employers.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

The most rewarding aspects are when I get referrals from clients and when clients ring the reception in excitement saying how much better they are feeling.

Practice Manager

Motion Health Albany

What are the three best things about being part of Motion Health?
  1. I love being a part of a fun, caring and loving team at Motion Health Albany.
  2. I love being able to meet other members of our NZ team at other practices across the country.
  3. My role brings me many obstacles to overcome and work through on a daily basis. I love being challenged and having to think outside the box!
How has Back In Motion assisted your personal and professional development?

I have been able to expand my knowledge, learn new skills and wear many hats. For example; managing teams, running accounts, interacting with clients and leading exercise classes. There are always opportunities to grow, and Motion Health is always happy to allow me to push these boundaries and test new waters.

What does Back In Motion offer that other employers don't?

An amazing team and family spirit that makes me love coming to work every day. We get along and enjoy life at work and outside of work on a regular basis.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

The people. We have a diverse population of not only staff but also clients. It is so rewarding to work in an environment where other staff members and our clients become like family. Work is never a chore and always a pleasure. I love being able to help our other practices around NZ to maximise their potential, and of course I love seeing the growth of our Auckland practices as well!
